Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang saw the importance of cultivating organic mushrooms that are non-toxic. After 1 month of cultivation, the mushrooms bloom every day. After distributing to the personnel in the center, they can be sold to increase additional income to the center. The mushroom lump mixture consists of sawdust, fine bran, lime, epsom salts and mushroom leaven. It takes about a month to incubate the mushroom and can open a greenhouse to collect edible mushrooms. The mushroom has been blooming for more than 6 months. For those who are interested in growing it in the household, the budget is not more than 500 baht per set. The cultivated mushrooms are Nang Rom and Nang Fah Phu Than. The “Organic Mushroom House Project” is one of the academic services to serve as a study and learning center for mushroom cultivation in Samut Songkhram Education Center. This is to preserve local wisdom and environmental conservation, and also to promote occupations and increase money for people and the general public.
