Identity of Nursing Students Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University

     The purposes of this research were to explore the opinion towards the character of the nursing students at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University based on the Thailand Qualifications Framework of the Higher Education Commission Including: 1) ethics and morals; 2) knowledge; 3) cognitive skills; 4) interpersonal skills and responsibility; 5) numerical analysis, communication, and information technology skills; and 6) nursing professional skill. The participants were 240 college staff: nursing instructors and nursing students. A further 60 persons were health care providers. The data were collected by using a questionnaire of the character based on Thailand’s qualification frame work for 6 aspects. The test was examined for content validity by 3 experts, the Content Validity Index, and α- Cronbach reliability was 0.84. Data were analyzed by using statistics, such as percentage, means and standard deviations. The results revealed that the sample group identified 6 characters were a good level (mean = 3.83, SD = .62). The top three highest ratings by dimension were: 1) ethics and morals; 2) nursing professional skills; and 3) cognitive skills; (Mean =3.85, S.D. = 0.66; Mean = 3.84, S.D. = 0.63; Mean = 4.84, S.D. = 0.62), respectively. There were no statistically significant different levels of character perceptions between the 3 groups.
