Key-Components for Building Organizational Entrepreneurship in Agricultural Cooperatives towards Success
The objectives
of this research were; 1) to investigate
and identify key components of
cooperatives organizational
entrepreneurship; 2) to study relation
among driver components and CO-OP
success; and 3) to develop structural
equation model for building up
cooperatives organizational
entrepreneurship. Qualitative and
quantitative research has been employed
for research methodology. The Population
was agricultural cooperatives that
passed cooperatives standard evaluation
in 2015. Data collection used the
qualitative approach through organized
focus groups of 4 agricultural
cooperatives. The quantitative used
questionnaires, and data analysis was
based on PLS-SEM by SMART PLS software.
The finding, from this research were
that key components affecting CO-OP
success, both tangible and intangible
outcomes were as follows; 1) CO-OP
internal capital or organization feature
comprise of member
participation,
co-op principles based management, board
capacity, staff capacity, and strong
working team, 2) Managerial process
includes, strategic planning and good
business management. In addition
tangible outcomes more effecting to
intangible outcomes, also tangible and
intangible outcomes are both strongly
reflect to co-op success. The study
result could apply to strengthen
agricultural cooperatives in Thailand by
focusing on building up internal co-op
capital and participatory
management.
