
The objective of this research paper was to survey the knowledge and the attitudes towards traditional Thai medicine. The respondents were comprised of 414 people who received the treatment from traditional Thai medicine during January 1 to August 31, 2010. The research tools included interview techniques to collect data to measure the respondents’ knowledge and attitudes. The findings disclosed that 79 percent of the respondents were very knowledgeable of the treatment, the potential of herbal medicine, and how to use herbal medicine. However, only 42.3 percent of the respondents believed that after they will recover from illness after receiving traditional treatment. This indicated an uncertainly of the ability in the effectiveness of traditional Thai medicine.
