The Development of Chinese Phonetic Pronunciation

          This study of the development of Chinese phonetic pronunciation consisted of 32 students majoring in Chinese at Thepsatri Rajabhat University, and comprised five activities, namely the pronunciation of stop consonants, the pronunciation of explosive consonants, the pronunciation of fricative consonants, the pronunciation of mono vowels, the pronunciation of diphthongs, and the process of the development of Chinese phonetic pronunciation focusing on pronunciation skills. The research tools were Mandarin Chinese consonant pronunciation exercises, a Chinese proficiency test, and a satisfactory questionnaire on the use of Mandarin Chinese consonant pronunciation exercises. The findings showed that all the participants improved considerably, all the participants could pronounce naturally, and they were able to apply the knowledge of pronunciation skills to other Chinese courses.
