Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang, Vice President for Samut Songkhram Campus, together with Mr. Ekanarin Piyapanyamongkol, Acting Director of the Samut Songkhram Campus Office, and Mr. Ekkachon Noingeon, Director of the General Affairs Division, Samut Songkhram Campus Office Staff at the Samut Songkhram Campus Office organized activities to commemorate Mahidol Day—honoring the "Father of Modern Medicine in Thailand"—featuring a ceremony to pay tribute to the royal portrait of Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadejvikrom, the Prince Father, alongside the laying of wreaths on behalf of various units within the Samut Songkhram Campus.

             The ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang, Vice President for Samut Songkhram Campus, and was attended by executives, faculty members, and staff from the Samut Songkhram Campus Office and affiliated units, as well as students from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus. Participating in the pledge-taking ceremony before the royal portrait of Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadejvikrom, the Prince Father, on the occasion of “Mahidol Day”—the anniversary of his passing, which falls on September 24th of every year.

               Additionally, a wreath-laying ceremony was held, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang, Vice President of the Samut Songkhram Campus, representing Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus; and Lecturer Dr. Rattana Panriensaen, Deputy Dean for Administration of the College of Allied Health Sciences, representing the Dean of the College of Allied Health Sciences. Ajarn Somjai Kasiwit, a lecturer at the College of Nursing and Health—representing the Dean of the College—along with student representatives from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus, participated in the laying of a memorial wreath.

                In recognition of the myriad royal contributions made to the nation’s medical and public health sectors—which laid the foundation for strengthening medical schools and ensuring the efficient training of physicians, ultimately fostering progress and development on par with civilized nations—the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital This significant commemorative day was therefore named “Mahidol Day” to pay homage to and honor the immense benevolence of Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadejvikrom, the Prince Father—who was bestowed the title “Father of Modern Medicine in Thailand” in recognition of his contributions.

                 The aforementioned activity was held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 09:00 AM at the Benjasiladon Auditorium (500-seat capacity), 2nd Floor, Srisunan Building, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus.
