Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus—led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang, Vice President for Samut Songkhram Campus, together with Mr. Ekanarin Piyapanyamongkhon, Acting Director of the Samut Songkhram Campus Office, and Mr. Ekkachon Noingeon, Director of the General Affairs Division, Samut Songkhram Campus Office—led a team of personnel from the Samut Songkhram Campus Office. We welcomed teachers and Grade 2 students from Samut Songkhram Kindergarten School for a field trip and a tour of the learning facilities at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus. The event took place on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus.

            The objective is to promote learning outside the classroom, instill a sense of awareness regarding natural resource conservation, and provide students with the opportunity to experience an integrated learning process through participation in four learning stations, namely:

                             College of Allied Health Sciences Station – Demonstration of herbal powder making and a tour of the Traditional Thai and Integrative Medicine Hospital.

                            College of Nursing and Health Station – Tour of the virtual simulation laboratories used for practical training by students of the College of Nursing and Health, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.

                            Native Plant Learning Center Station (Bang Chang Chili and Kitchen Garden Plot) – Learn about native perennial plants of Samut Songkhram Province and various plant species, with the opportunity to experience local cultivation practices.

                            Medicinal Mangrove Plant Learning Center Station – Study the natural ecosystem surrounding the Samut Songkhram Campus and participate in environmental conservation activities.

                The atmosphere at the event was lively and filled with the smiles and laughter of students engaging in hands-on learning. They gained valuable knowledge and inspiration, while also enjoying a memorable experience centered on science, health, and the environment.

                  In this activity, teachers and students learned about the diversity of medicinal plants and their practical uses in daily life, as well as the importance of the mangrove ecosystem—a valuable natural resource that plays a vital role for both the environment and the community. The learning process emphasized observation, hands-on practice, and the exchange of knowledge based on real-world experiences.

                    In addition to enhancing students' knowledge and experience regarding the diversity of medicinal plants outside the classroom, this activity fosters an awareness of natural resource and environmental conservation; it encourages young people to value local resources and recognize their own roles in contributing to environmental sustainability.
