Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus—led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang, Vice President for Samut Songkhram Campus—continues to prioritize the conservation of natural resources and the environment; she has assigned Mr. Ekkachon Noingern, Director of the General Affairs Division, to The Samut Songkhram Campus Office is proceeding with the planting of mangrove trees around the campus grounds to increase green space, preserve the ecosystem, and create vital food sources and nursery habitats for aquatic life, thereby fostering a balanced and sustainably thriving ecosystem.

         Mangrove trees are vital components of the mangrove forest ecosystem; their roots and structures provide shelter, nursery grounds, and food sources for various aquatic species—such as sesarmid crabs, oysters, and Asian sea bass. Furthermore, they help trap sediment, reduce coastal erosion, and play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of the coastal ecosystem.

         This mangrove planting initiative reflects the commitment of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus, to promoting natural resource conservation alongside the creation of an environment conducive to learning and sustainable development. The university aims for the area surrounding the campus to contribute to ecosystem restoration, enhance biodiversity, and serve as a vital food source for aquatic life.
