This event was part of a project promoting significant Buddhist occasions—specifically Asalha Puja and the beginning of Buddhist Lent—for the year 2026, aiming to preserve and uphold Buddhism, a cherished national cultural heritage.
The objective of this event is to offer Buddhist Lent candles as an act of devotion to the Buddha, intended for use by monks in religious observances throughout the Buddhist Lent period. Furthermore, the offering is dedicated as a tribute of merit to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his birthday anniversary on July 28, 2026, serving as an expression of loyalty and profound gratitude for His Majesty’s boundless benevolence.
The ceremony was held on Thursday, 16 July 2026, at the Phiphat Mongkhon Auditorium, Samut Songkhram Provincial Administrative Organization (Mae Klong Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Songkhram District, Samut Songkhram Province), and at Wat Thammasit (Khlong Khon Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Songkhram District, Samut Songkhram Province).
