Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus—led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang, Vice President for Samut Songkhram Campus—assigned Mr. Ekkachon Noingern, Director of the General Affairs Division, Samut Songkhram Campus Office, to lead a team of personnel from the Buildings and Facilities Department of the Samut Songkhram Campus Office. Efforts to develop the campus grounds are proceeding continuously, including the planting of mangrove trees along internal campus roads. This initiative aims to prevent soil erosion and landslides along embankments, thereby ensuring the stability, durability, and long-term safety of the campus road network.

             Planting mangrove trees serves as a nature-based defense against soil erosion; their robust root systems firmly anchor the soil, helping to mitigate the impact of waves and bank erosion while simultaneously restoring the ecosystem, enhancing the fertility of the surrounding area, and fostering environmental balance.

         Furthermore, this project is part of the initiative to transform the university into an "SDGs Green Campus," focusing on developing an environmentally friendly campus in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It prioritizes natural resource conservation, the expansion of green spaces, the reduction of environmental impact, and the enhancement of the quality of life for staff, students, and the surrounding community.

       Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus, remains steadfast in its commitment to ongoing environmental initiatives. The aim is to create a pleasant and safe learning environment that fosters growth alongside sustainable natural resource conservation, while serving as a model "Green University" that is socially and environmentally responsible across all dimensions.
