
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn arrived by royal helicopter at the temporary helipad at the Samut Songkhram Provincial Administrative Organization Stadium. She was greeted by Mr. Chayachai Saeng-in, Governor of Samut Songkhram Province, along with government officials, judges, military personnel, police officers, and citizens. She then proceeded by royal vehicle to Wat Don Manora in Bang Khon Thi District, Samut Songkhram Province.
At 2:30 PM, His Majesty arrived at Wat Don Manora and presided over the ceremony of raising the ceremonial umbrella above the main Buddha image in the ordination hall, commemorating the 150th anniversary of Wat Don Manora. During the ceremony, His Majesty sprinkled holy water and anointed the umbrella canopy and the foundation stone of the four-sided vihara. He then held the cord and raised the umbrella above the Buddha image while monks chanted auspicious verses. On this occasion, His Majesty planted a Mimusops elengi tree as a memento and presented offerings to the monks. His Majesty then presented commemorative gifts to 100 donors who had contributed money to support the temple, before returning to Sa Pathum Palace.
On this occasion, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang, Vice President of Samut Songkhram Campus, assigned Mr. Ekkachon Noi-ngern, Director of the Central Division, along with Mr. Wuttikrai Prawatphong, Acting Head of General Administration, and Ms. Suphanrai Sanguanthai. The Acting Head of the Building and Grounds Division, Central Office, Samut Songkhram Campus, was present to welcome His Majesty the King on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Wat Don Manora, Bang Khon Thi District, Samut Songkhram Province.
