The scams typically involve: Fraudulent loan applications: Claiming to be able to assist with student loans (Government Student Loan Fund). Or, fraudulent academic documents impersonating someone else, claiming illegal activities; calling and saying your identity has been stolen in an illegal transaction, demanding money for verification; fraudulent study tour programs; tricking people into paying for visas or program fees; creating situations; using fear, such as threatening trouble if you don't transfer money, to pressure victims into making a quick decision. ✅ Prevention: Do not transfer money to personal accounts: Only legitimate payment accounts should be in the name of "University...". Verify the information: If you are contacted and asked to call regarding academic matters or related departments of the university directly, please call 034 773 902 ext. 202. Do not trust the documents: Scammers often present fake documents bearing the university's seal. If you encounter suspicious behavior or become a victim, you can report it to the Cyber Crime Suppression Center (CCSC) of the Royal Thai Police at 1441 or 08-1866-3000, 24 hours a day.
