'Chakri Day' is an important day commemorating the coronation of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the tenth monarch of the Chakri Dynasty and the Kingdom of Thailand, succeeding His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. It is a momentous day for the nation.

        Since Coronation Day is determined by the date of the coronation of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn, His Majesty graciously decreed that this royal ceremony be held on May 4-6, 2019. The official coronation ceremony took place on May 4, 2019. Subsequent years shall be observed as "Coronation Day".
