On Friday, December 12, 2025, at the central stage in front of the Samut Songkhram Provincial Hall, Mueang Samut Songkhram District, Samut Songkhram Province, Assistant Professor Dr. Pimpong Thongmuang, Pharmacist... The Vice Rector of Samut Songkhram Campus attended the opening ceremony of the 27th Samut Songkhram Mackerel Festival and Local Products Fair, themed ‘Eating Mackerel Extends Your Life for Ten Thousand Years’.

       The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Atthakorn Sirilatthayakon, Minister of Tourism and Sports, who presided over the opening ceremony, and Mr. Chayachai Saeng-in, Governor of Samut Songkhram Province. The event was attended by the Deputy Governor of Samut Songkhram Province, heads of government departments, and a large number of citizens.

          The objective is to promote tourism and showcase agricultural products, fisheries, and other quality goods and products of Samut Songkhram province. This initiative is a collaboration between Samut Songkhram province and the Samut Songkhram Chamber of Commerce. This comprises government and private sector agencies that share a common policy of promoting and coordinating cooperation in the development of the province, as well as participating in solving economic, social, and tourism-related problems. And to promote sustainable development of the province's environment in all dimensions, the event featured a variety of dishes showcasing the best of Samut Songkhram, including delicious mackerel and OTOP products. A wide variety of community products, product caravans, and street food will be featured at the event, scheduled to take place from December 12-21, 2025 (10 days) at the Samut Songkhram Provincial Hall, Mueang Samut Songkhram District, Samut Songkhram Province.
