
On Monday, December 1, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at the Phiphatmongkol Auditorium, Samut Songkhram Provincial Administrative Organization, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. Samut Songkhram Campus, as the front office of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Samut Songkhram Province, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pharmacist Pimporn Thongmuang, Vice President of Samut Songkhram Campus Along with Professor Prangthong Nonthakan, Lecturer in the Department of Health Sciences and Beauty, College of Allied Health Sciences, and personnel from the Samut Songkhram Campus Office/Internal Supervision Unit Participated in knowledge transfer activities in the Mangrove Plants for Medical Use Learning Center Project under the Royal Initiative Plant Genetic Conservation Project. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (Public Health Promotion Foundation) for the fiscal year 2026 aims to disseminate knowledge on plant genetic resources, conservation, and the application of mangrove plants for health and modern medicine.
Within the project, there is cooperation from various agencies in Samut Songkhram Province, working together to share knowledge in various dimensions, such as the conservation of Samut Songkhram's native plant species. and the conservation of Bang Chang chili, the conservation of mangrove forests in Samut Songkhram Province, the conservation of aquatic species in mangrove forests, etc.
The event was held during a meeting of village headmen, subdistrict headmen, subdistrict doctors, subdistrict headmen's sergeants, and assistant village headmen. The event served as a platform for disseminating knowledge to local leaders, enabling them to effectively apply it to their communities.
This project marks another important step in promoting Samut Songkhram Province as a model area for plant genetic conservation and mangrove resource development for future health benefits.
