
National
Annual Tree Care Day, or "National
Tree Care Day," was born from the
determination of Her Royal Highness
Princess Srinagarindra, or Her Majesty
the Queen Mother, who placed importance
on the maintenance of trees and wanted
to restore the balance of nature. His
Majesty has planted and maintained trees
himself throughout his life. For this
reason, the Cabinet Therefore, on June
26, 1990, it was decided that October 21
of every year, the birthday of Her
Majesty Queen Srinagarindra, would be
"National Tree Maintenance
Day."
The
Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives
subsequently gathered public opinion to
determine a suitable name for the day.
The name "National Tree Love
Day" was chosen, making it
"National Tree Maintenance
Day." It was renamed "National
Tree Day" or "National Tree
Day" on October 15, 1990.
