It is established to make everyone aware of the importance, to fill each other with love and care . . . It is Family Day.

Family is the basic human institution. It is the smallest unit of society. It creates and determines the status, rights and duties of individuals towards each other in society. It is the first institution for transmitting culture and developing family members. It means husband, wife and children. The government has established Family Day because it wants the public to be more aware of the importance of family, as the way of life of people in Thai society has changed. This will lead to more conflict and estrangement in the family, which may lead to social problems later on.
