On November 15, 2024, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pharm. Pimphon Thongmuang, Deputy Rector for the Samut Songkhram Campus, along with Associate Professor Dr. Somdet Rungsrisawat, Dean of the College of Allied Health Sciences, and university administrators, faculty members, staff, and students, organized the annual Loy Krathong Festival for the academic year 2024 at the Padungchiva Building (College of Nursing and Health Building).

           The event focused on promoting and preserving the beautiful Thai tradition, with an emphasis on environmental conservation and educating participants about the sustainable use of natural resources. The celebration featured krathongs made from natural materials, and special attention was given to waste segregation and recycling efforts to minimize environmental impact. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 14: Life Below Water, with the aim of promoting responsible natural resource management and reducing water pollution.

          This event was not only a celebration of the Loy Krathong tradition but also served as a platform to raise awareness among students and the community about environmental conservation and the importance of preserving natural resources, fostering a sustainable and nature-friendly society for the future.
