Chief of the Office "Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University" Samut Songkhram Center to Discuss with the Director of Samut Songkhram Provincial Provincial Agricultural Extension Office to Find Genetic Information on Predominant Plants in Samut Songkhram Province Establishment of Thai Herbs Learning and Conservation Center “Suan Sunandha”

 

                         On 17 December 2021 at 13.00 hr., Mr. Eakkachon Noyngern, Chief of Samut Songkhram Education Center Office, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University along with Ms. Patchara Saengnuan, General Administration Officer discussed with Mr. Wisit Bosarakham, Head of Production Promotion and Development Group acting as Agriculture Representative of Samut Songkhram Province and Ms. Parinthorn Piyarak, Agricultural Extension Academic Specialist to find genetic information on predominant plants in Samut Songkhram Province. The Director of the Samut Songkhram Education Center has a policy to establish a learning and conservation center for Thai herbs "Suan Sunandha" under the supervision of the University's President.                        

                   Conserving herbal wisdom will sustainably be with society and make people in Thai society to love, understand, and use them in daily life. The education centers also play an important role in being an accessible learning resource which is suitable for all ages. There are interesting activities, such as healthy cooking courses, growing medicinal plants and their uses to provide. The center expects that within 2 years, everything should be fully integrated and concrete by extending the predominant plant genetics in Samut Songkhram Province packed with herbs within the province as a learning center for herbs that have been preserved and applied properly according to the principles of Thai traditional medicine and pharmaceuticals to the further development of health and well-being of everyone.
