The 3rd Meeting of the Samut Songkhram Educational Center Board of Directors, via Google Meet, Approved the Establishment of a Learning and Conservation Center for Thai Medicinal Plants "Suan Sunandha”

                    On 14 December 2021 at 10.00 hr., Samut Songkhram Education Center, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University organized a meeting of the Board of Directors of Samut Songkhram Education Center 3/2021 via Google Meet. Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang, the Director, summarized the results of operations and guidelines for driving the development of the Education Center to the Board of Directors, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chutikarn Srivibul, President of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University chaired the meeting, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somdej Rungsrisawat. Dean of the College of Allied Health Sciences, Asst. Prof. Dr. Supalak Fakkham, Mr. Mongkol Sukcharoenkana, Executive Committee, Mr. Eakkachon Noyngern, Chief of the Office and heads of departments within the Education Center that attended the meeting.

The important thing in this meeting to acknowledge the operating results and the matters proposed for consideration are as follows:

The agenda to inform:

             1. Report on the progress of civil service performance in Fiscal Year 2012 of Samut Songkhram Provincial Education Center, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Round 2 (October 2021 – November 2021);

           2. Report on water and electricity bills and percentage of budget savings from electricity and water usage compared with last year (October 2020 - October 2021);

        3. Progress report on the implementation of the investment budget project of the Samut Songkhram Education Center for the fiscal year 2021 – 2022 (October 2020 – November 2021);

       4. Report on the progress of the delivery of the area according to the Memorandum of Understanding on academic cooperation projects for cannabis development for medical benefits;

        5. Report on unpaid debts from student dormitories, Samut Songkhram Education Center. Rajabhat University for the fiscal year 2018 - 2021 (as of 30 November 2021).

Other agenda are:

1. Report on the proposal to appoint the Samut Songkhram Educational Center Administration Committee;

2. Consideration of overdue debt collection measures student dormitory payment of Samut Songkhram Province Education Center;

3. Consideration of guidelines for establishing a learning and conservation center for Thai herbs “Suan Sunandha”;

4. Consideration (draft) Announcement of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University regarding internal division of work of Samut Songkhram Provincial Education Center Office (consent in principle);

5. Consideration (draft) Announcement of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University on Criteria and Methods

paying rewards to personnel of Samut Songkhram Education Center in Fiscal Year 2021 (consent in principle).

                 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chutikarn Srivibul, President of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University proposed the policy guidelines to establish a learning and conservation center for Thai herbs "Suan Sunandha", suggesting that it would be a gathering place for creating benefits and connecting the project of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to conserve the plant genetics due to the royal initiative and to use both for further studies on the propagation of medicinal plants.
