
"Suan Sunandha Thai Herbs Learning and Conservation Center, Samut Songkhram Education Center” to Transfer Knowledge on Local Medicinal Plants and Local Wisdom on the Use of Herbs for Students and Those Interested to Focus on the Study of Herbs as Natural Products that Humans can use for the Treatment of Illness and Diseases without Using Modern Medicine
On 3 December 2021 at 11.00 hr., Mr. Eakkachon Noyngern, Chief of the Samut Songkhram Education Center Office, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, along with Ms. Saranya Noonak, Acting Director of the Local Lower Central Province Research and Development Institute, Samut Songkhram Education Center, Suan Sunata Rajabhat University have passed on the knowledge of medicinal plants for junior year students in the field of applied Thai traditional medicine, College of Allied Health Sciences, Suan Sunata Rajabhat University, and gave the herb paniculata paniculata to Dr. Thitiya Prommawanna and Dr. Jatupat Anuchon from the Department of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine, College of Allied Health Sciences for the benefit of education and research on the development of herbal medicines at the farm located at the back of the health rehabilitation building. There has been a policy developed as a "Suan Sunandha Thai Herbs Learning and Conservation Center, Samut Songkhram Education Center” project with the objective of transferring knowledge on local medicinal plants and local wisdom on the use of herbs as well as searching for sources of herbal raw materials for students and those who are interested to focus on the study of herbs as natural products that humans can use for the treatment of illness and diseases without using modern medicine. Some modern medicines are expensive, costly and may be difficult to purchase, unlike traditional herbs that are available locally and can be used as a maintenance drug for the body to be healthy and as an insecticide in vegetable gardens. This activity was held to encourage local people to know the properties of medicinal plants and be able to use local medicinal plants in their localities to bring benefits according to ancient traditions and wisdom back to live closer with nature, and take pride in intellectual heritage.
