
On January 26th, 2021, at 01.30pm, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimporn Tongmuang, Acting Director of Samut Songkhram Education Center, assigned Mr. Ariyamet Sirirerkratana, personnel of the center, to participate in the meeting of the committee of the Center of the Prevention and Suppression of Narcotics and the Security and Peace Center in Samut Songkhram Province 4/2021 held via Google Meet while Colonel Jirarot Kongvaree, Deputy Director of the Security Operations Division, Samut Songkhram Province presided over the meeting.
The objective was to report the results of the drive for the prevention and suppression of drugs in Samut Songkhram Province. The Narcotics Control Office Region 7, Office of the Narcotics Control Commission, Ministry of Justice, presented the situation of drug problem and Ketamine situation with a trend that became increasing as well as an amount of K powder. There were a summary of budget expenditures, operational results of complaints, and targeted areas in Samut Songkhram Province. The overall drug situation in the 3 districts of Samut Songkhram province was sparsely epidemic. The operation of the Center of the Prevention and Suppression of Narcotics in 3 districts containing a checkpoint, block extraction point, searching illegal things, and maintaining public order by coordinating and integrating with relevant departments, including organizing society, risk locations, and risk groups, and by implementing measures to build strong villages and communities which are safe from drugs and are able to search for drug addicts to take for further treatment.
In addition, there have been an ongoing surveillance and anti-drug campaign in schools. On this occasion, Mr. Arimet Sirirerkratana. the personnel of the center reported the results of the school operation through the qualitative criteria for tertiary immunity that the goal was not yet reached for 3 other activities that were in progress due to the COVID-19 situation. This causes students to study online for 100% and cannot come to participate in the activities at the university.
