On June 13th, 2019 at 09.30 am, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang, Director of Samut Songkhram Education Center, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, along with personnel, joined the Training Project to Raise Awareness of Plant Genetic Conservation and Natural Resources to Fulfill HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Royal Initiative at the Samut Songkhram Administrative Organization Meeting Room. Mr Prachin Thansirisin, Depulty Governer of Samut Songkhram Province presided over the project.

The objective was to create understanding and make the attendees realize about the importance of various plant genes in Thailand. There were activities of the practice as well as various genetic information systems provided in the province to create activities with common concepts in the area. Dr. Piyarat Parinyapong Charoensap, Secretary of the Committee on Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiative, along with Mr. Pisit Sueasaming, President of Samut Songkhram Provincial Administration Organization, were lecturers to convey knowledge on the operation of the royal initiative so that trainees and attendees can apply in the implementation of the royal initiative and be able to the most benefits to the agency and themselves.
