On October 20th, 2020 at 09.00am, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang, Acting Director of Samut Songkhram Education Center, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, led the administrators, professors, personnel, and students together with the College of Allied Health Sciences, organized volunteer activities under the concept "Good Determination: Doing Good Starts with Our Hearts”according to the government policy to offer the royal charity on the day of the death of King Chulalongkorn through volunteer activity to clean and improve the landscape of the institution for benefit of the students. In addition, all divisions jointly planted 23 trees in Samut Songkhram Province, such as Jig Talay, Lueang Pridiyathorn, and Samae Dam to show loyalty and join in gratitude for the grace of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn. The government has announced that on October 23rd each year is the day of Chulalongkorn because King Chulalongkorn, King Rama V has great benevolence to Thailand by performing various royal duties for the kingdom. He traveled to other countries in order to acknowledge the welfare. Moreover, he has a royal initiative to develop the nation to have prosperity in all areas, bringing science gained from royal visits to lay the foundation for national development in various fields, such as reform of the state administration, reform of the financial system, education, and public utilities, with his wisdom and vision making the nation progressively developed. He abolished the slave system and the people system and brought together the science of government to Thailand to apply in the rule of the kingdom, leading the country through the dangers by maintaining stable sovereignty and national independence. This could make the nation prosperous and has developed until the present time. His ability and honor was evidence of his grace. All Thai citizens are in remembrance of the honor of King Chulalongkorn and called him "Phra Piyamaharaj", which means "The Most Beloved King of All".
