
On October 19th, 2020 at 09.00am, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang, Acting Director of Samut Songkhram Education Center, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, together with personnel, joined volunteer activity to clean up and improve the landscape on the day of the royal birth of King Rama IV. Mr. Sumeth Teeraniti, Permanent Secretary of Samut Songkhram Province, was the chairman, while chiefs of the government agencies, the military officers, the polices, local leaders, and the royal volunteers participated in a volunteer activity to clean up religious places at Pho Ngam Temple, Bang Nok Kwak Subdistrict, Bang Khonthi District, on the day of the royal birth of King Mongkut, King Rama IV to express loyalty and to commemorate His Majesty's grace by doing good for royal charity and cleaning around the temple area.
Samut Songkhram Provincial Permanent Secretary said that King Mongkut, the King Rama IV had done various royal duties by devoting himself and his wisdom to develop the country in various fields throughout his reign which is clear evidence of the grace of His Majesty. He had implemented a policy to reduce taxes and deductions, enhanced Buddhism for prosperity by setting up Thammayuttikawong Buddhism. He is a Thai astronomer as he accurately calculated the occurrence of a total solar eclipse.
