
On January 17th, 2020, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang, Director of Samut Songkhram Education Center, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University together with personnel participated in the landscape improvement activity, cleaning and painting walls at Methi Choonhawanwittayalai School, Bang Khonthi Subdistrict, Bang Khonthi District, Samut Songkhram in order to embrace gratitude to His Majesty the King Ramkhamhaeng the Great.
In this regard, the Cabinet had a resolution on October 5th, 2010 to approve the date of King Ramkhamhaeng to be on January 17th of every year, which is also a state ceremony day holding a royal ceremony to pay tribute to King Ramkhamhaeng the Great. King Ramkhamhaeng the Great is the King of the Phra Ruang Dynasty of Sukhothai. His Highness had sustained the country with compassion for the people and had created an art and cultural heritage of the nation with great diversity. The most important national heritage is Thai alphabet created in the year 1826 B.E., which is the origin of the Thai alphabet that is used nowadays.
