
On January 17th 2019 at 8.30 AM, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimporn Thongmuang, director of the Education Center, Samut Songkhram, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, together with the staffs attended the ceremony on the day of King Ramkhamhaeng. Mrs. Sukanda Worachetbancha, governor of Samut Songkhram presided over the ceremony while judiciary, military, police, civil servants, state enterprises, local leaders, and provincial Red Cross committees participated in the ceremony in order to commemorate King Ramkhamhaeng's greatness towards the Thai people in Sukhothai period when His Highness had presided over the country. He had created an important cultural heritage of the nation and also had invented the Thai alphabet around the year 1283.
For the history of King Ramkhamhaeng Day, the cabinet resolution on October 5th, 2010, agreed that the King Ramkhamhaeng Day on January 16th of every year to be a state ceremony day which is not considered a public holiday at the Provincial Administrative Organization Auditorium.
