
On October 22nd, 2018, Samut Songkhram Education Center, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University led by Ajarn Wannee Promdao, Deputy Director of Special Affairs Department along with Mr. Eakkachon Noyngern, Head of the Office, and personnel, attended the commemoration ceremony on the day of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn's death to honor and commemorate the grace that His Highness has for Thai people.
At 7.00am, there was merit-making alm to 57 monks at the Samut Songkhram Provincial Administrative Organization Auditorium and at 08.00am, there was wreath laying ceremony and paying obedience to the royal monument of King Chulalongkorn, at the front of the city hall. On this occasion, Mrs. Sukanda Worachetbancha, Governor of Samut Songkhram Province was the chairperson leading heads of government sectors, civil servants, police, soldiers and people to participate in the ceremony.
Piyamaharat Day falls on the 23rd of October of each year. It is to commemorate the passing of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn, the reign of King Rama V. He is a respected and beloved king of Thai and foreign citizens. His Majesty has a multi-divine grace, both in governing the country and giving peace to all people. With a sense of grace, the government, therefore announced on October 23rd of each year as "Piyamaharat Day".
